Privacy
This site collects personal details only when you send them through a form, and stores almost nothing in your browser. This note says what we keep, why, for how long, and how to have it removed.
What we collect
The contact form asks for your name, your email and your message. A Cohort 0 application also asks for your WhatsApp number, your school or employer, your SolidWorks version, and why you want a seat. The waitlist asks for an email address, a name if you care to give one, and which subjects you want to hear about.
Why
To reply to you. For applications, also to select the cohort and to run it: the weekly exercises happen in a WhatsApp group of accepted participants. For the waitlist, to write to you when the thing you asked about opens — and about nothing else. You can ask to come off the list in one line, at any time, and we act on it the day we read it.
Where it goes
Three companies handle any of it, and only to do a job we asked them to do: Resend delivers form submissions to our inbox, Netlify hosts the site and keeps ordinary server logs, and — only if you allow it — Umami counts anonymous visits. A Cohort 0 application is also seen by MKV Academy, which runs the cohort with us; both of us may write to you about later sessions and workshops, and either will stop if you ask. Beyond that we do not sell or share your details, and we never add you to a mailing list without asking.
How long we keep it
Applications that are not selected are deleted within three months. Participants' details are kept while the cohort runs and for twelve months after it, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Cookies
None. Not an advertising cookie, not an analytics cookie, not one of our own. The full list of what is stored in your browser — two items, both of which stay on your device — is at the bottom of this page, with the switch that controls the one optional thing we do.
Your rights
Ask us at any time to see, correct, delete or export what we hold about you, or to object to our holding it. Write to the address below; we answer within thirty days, and there is no charge.
Who is responsible
4TUNHub, Dschang, Cameroon. Donfack Fortune decides what is collected and answers for it personally. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom and you believe we have handled your details wrongly, you may also complain to your national data protection authority.
If you are under 18
Some of what we teach is taught to secondary-school students. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian before sending us your name, email or WhatsApp number — and if something was sent without that, tell us and we will delete it.
Cookies and storage
This site sets no cookies — not one, not even our own. Two things are stored in your browser and never leave your device, and one thing is counted, only if you allow it. That is the entire list.
| What | Why | Where it is kept | Can you refuse it? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Appearance4tun.theme | Remembers whether you chose Light, Dark or Auto, so the site obeys you on the next page. | Your browser, on this device. It is never sent anywhere. | It only exists once you use the switch in the footer. Clearing your browser data removes it. |
| Your answer to this question4tun.consent | Remembers whether you accepted or declined, so you are not asked again on every page. | Your browser, on this device. It is never sent anywhere. | Without it we would have to ask the same question on every page. Clearing your browser data removes it. |
| Anonymous visit countingUmami — no cookie, nothing stored on your device | Which pages are read, from which country, on what kind of device and which site sent you — plus three events: a waitlist signup, an application, a message sent. | On the analytics provider's servers, as counts. No name, no address, nothing that identifies a person. | Yes. It does not run at all until you accept, and you can switch it off here at any time. |
Anonymous visit counting
Lets us see which pages are read and which channels bring engineers here. No cookie, no profile, nothing that identifies you.
You have not answered yet, so nothing optional is running.
