Terms of use
The rules of this site and of the training we run. Written plainly, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.
Who we are
4TUNHub is an engineering organisation based in Dschang, Cameroon, founded and run by Donfack Fortune. Writing to the address at the foot of this page reaches a person, not a queue.
What this site is
Information about our engineering services, our training and our projects, plus forms for contacting us, applying for a cohort and joining a waiting list. Nothing here is engineering advice to build from without an engagement: the projects describe work done under conditions that were ours, not yours.
A Cohort 0 seat
Seats are free and given by selection, not by order of arrival. A seat asks three things in return: attend at least 6 of the 8 sessions, hand in the weekly exercise, and sit the final mock exam, share your score and record a short video about it. Miss them and the seat passes to the waiting list — that is the whole of it, and there is nothing to pay at any point.
The sessions are recorded
Every live session is recorded so that anyone who misses one can catch up. Your name, your voice and anything you share on screen may be in that recording, and recordings may be published or reused in our teaching. If you would rather not appear, keep your camera off and say so in the group: we will not press you, and it costs you nothing in the cohort.
The exam voucher
Everyone who completes the cohort as described above receives a CSWA exam voucher at no cost. The vouchers are supplied to us through the SOLIDWORKS user group; if that supply changes or fails for reasons outside our control, we will say so publicly and immediately — and we will not have taken your money for it. Sitting the exam, and passing it, remains yours to do: we prepare you for it and promise nothing about the result.
What you send us
Send only what is yours to send: not an employer's work, a client's or a classmate's, without their permission. By giving a testimonial you allow us to publish it with your name, your role and, if you provide one, your photograph or video. Ask us to take it down at any time and we will, including from pages already published.
What is ours
The text, images, project write-ups, course material and exercises on this site belong to 4TUNHub or to the people credited. Read them, quote them with a link, share them with a colleague. Do not resell them, republish them as your own, or teach a paid course from them without asking first — the answer is often yes.
Not affiliated, and a word about names
SOLIDWORKS and CSWA are trademarks of Dassault Systèmes. 4TUNHub is not part of Dassault Systèmes, is not endorsed by them, and does not award their certifications: we prepare people to sit the exam, which they take with the certifying body. Cohort 0 is run together with the Douala City SOLIDWORKS User Group, a community group.
Other people's sites
Links leave for LinkedIn, YouTube, WhatsApp, Bevy, GrabCAD and Medium, among others. What happens there is governed by their terms, not ours.
What we do not promise
The site is provided as it is. We keep it running and correct what we find, but we do not promise it is available at every moment or free of every error. Free training is given in good faith and carries no warranty; paid work is governed by the contract signed for it, not by this page.
Changes, and the law that applies
These terms may change as the ecosystem grows. The date above says when they last did, and a change is never applied backwards to a cohort already running. Cameroonian law applies, and we would far rather settle anything by writing to each other first.
